You can hardly go anywhere nowadays without hearing the term mindfulness and I’m glad of it. It was weird back when I started practicing it. 30 years later, it’s the “new” thing!!! Chinese Medicine has it’s own version of Mindfulness called Qigong (pronounced: chi kung) and it is quickly gaining popularity, as the long yoga run is winding down. Heavy metal yoga, Beer Yoga . . . yeah, it’s time for something “new.” Qigong is actually over a thousand years old in practice. It is showing great results in studies for aging, cancer treatment, chronic inflammation and brain health. Check out this “new” old mindfulness trend in this blog series.
