Get Ready for a Dragon Ride!!

Oh boy!!!  Here comes the Year of the Dragon!  Let’s be honest, you either have to know how to RUN FOREST RUN, or ride on the back of a dragon.  Surfers should do well this year!!!

This past year was the Year of the Rabbit.  That’s why we’ve all been timidly hiding in our hutches!!! Afraid to “come out.”  This upcoming lunar year, starting on February 10th, we’re gonna have to brave the world outside.  Or get scorched by the Dragon’s snout. Let’s take a quick look at what’s going on.

2023 marked several interesting and unusual planetary movements. In the Asian Lunar Calendar, it is an adjustment year.  A 13th month is added to compensate for wobbles.  At least that’s what they tell us!!   So the New Moon on January 11th is the beginning of the “extra” lunar month, or the 13th Moon.

From an energetic standpoint this month is like a pause, while one extreme force gives way to another. Think of centrifugal movement going away, rounding the corner into the opposite direction as centripetal movement coming back in.  At the pinnacle of the turn, there’s a moment of no gravity.  It’s called Wu Wei or the position of emptiness in martial arts.  Why this year?  Why now?

There are very large forces at work around us.  We’re at the end of a cycle.  We can see it around us in polarity.  Forces moving away from each other.  Guess what.  They always come back together.  But only after the pause.  The void.  The still soup.  Polarity is breaking.  That’s natural. After the break and the pause, comes the collapsing back into, and the cycle of collision, mixing and organizing and new life begins again from our cells, to our galaxy’s planetary movements, to our life cycles.  A swirly mess of light, sound and chaos factors.

So during this “extra” month of the lunar year of the Rabbit, let’s “pack up” for a journey.  Ready the “house” for being “away” on an adventure.  It’s a Wood Dragon year, so not as much destruction as a Fire or Water Dragon year.  Be prepared for shocking, or unexpected turns or surprises. This kind of energy combination will also produce moments of great insight, inspiration, entrepreneurial and wealth building opportunities.  It’s a good year to launch a business, change jobs, move residences, or move on from poor relations.  Try not to be too over the top.  Like Jupiter, the Dragon can get carried away.  Risk.  Just not everything.

Questions to ask on this 13th Moon to prepare for the Year of the Dragon:

1.  What have you been preparing for, but not yet launched?

2.  What do you need to say that you have not had the courage to bring up?

3.  What area(s) of your life needs accounting for, cleaning out, organizing and structuring?

4.  How is everyone living around you doing?  Any stragglers?  Board meeting time.

5.  How are your basic resources?  Are you “hurricane” prepared?

6.  Do you have a work project or idea that you are ready to go on?  Get ready.  Chop chop.

The Year of the Dragon brings great energy to innovation, transformation for the better, structural changes, new rules, attunement to the original code, and great blessings and wealth to those in the flow.  This is where the surfing part comes in!!  Get those tap shoes tapping.

It’s going to be a hell of a tap dance, but the Dragon can straighten every crooked path, destroy that which is not in harmony with universal code and leave a wake of change that can leave some requiring “recovery.”  Not the time to be flat footed.  Think of this 13th Moon more like a running head start.

Why are you still sitting there? LOL
