Venus and Uranus dance an interesting twirl. Most years they square off and shake things up a bit 5-10 days of the year. Some years they square off up to 15 days that year. But this year we’ll spend a total of 34 days under this transit due to retrogrades and corners. Traditional astrologers would associate this transit in Leo and Aries with drastic changes that could upset or enliven your love or home life. Like a hurricane, or tornado, this transit messes up what you built, literally and metaphorically. Sometimes for good, we need leave negative situations to move forward, but sometimes losses cause more hassle and delays. It happens.
Uranus, ruled by lightening will bring urges for change and excitement. Venus in Leo is nourished by attention, shopping, funny entertainment, competitive sports, surprise spa or fishing trips. Venus needs an adventure, a chase or a cause. in Astrological mythology told from a Greek/Roman point of view, Uranus is ruled by Saturn who encourages us to create and maintain the daily grind of life. This adherence to schedule and commitment provides necessary foundation to be progressive.
But it can also feel oppressive to the flames of love, passion, independence, freedom and creative individual expression, inherent (not necessarily exclusive) human traits. Living close to nature, we feel the call of the wild during these transits. Uranus traveling through Aries for 7 years gives enough time to bring the end of one era and beginning of another. This month, those changes hit home. Funny that this and the Mars Jupiter transit started in N. Florida with a massive Lightening storm, like Mars and Jupiter were having a beer and a spar and Venus was saying something snarky that ruined the party.
On such a year, where Uranus and Venus are so energized by each other, you could feel suddenly bored or limited in the bedroom and want to do a remodel or take a tantric sex class. This kind of transit can spice up the bedroom, or make you do something stupid. Go somewhere new together, get new sheets or at least change them! These transits happen to help us not be so complacent in love. A few surprises might be in order. Plan one for your loved one. You might like result. You’ll have another go at this change it up theme September 25th to October 3rd, 2023. Maybe plan a weekend getaway with a little romance on the side.
If you’re in a difficult spot in your relationship, wandering eyes and thinking the grass is greener elsewhere isn’t going to help this week. It will just bring you down. There’s so much fire element now with Venus & Mars in Leo and Jupiter & Uranus in Aries. Triangulation and jealousy could cause angry out bursts which will more likely drive you apart in hurtful ways rather than in a Dr. Phil kind of way. Problems usually reflect something that needs attention within us. When you identify that issue within yourself, solutions grow at your feet. You may still feel a need for an ending and a start over in some way, shape and form. This year will give you nudges and support if that is what your inner Dr. Phil has determined.
If you’re single, the universe is laying on the charming excitement this week. You could suddenly meet a 5th house love. (Meaning it will be intense, very different and short lived.) Enjoy free will.
Not relationship oriented at this time? Venus represents our artistic and creative sides. Do you need a shake up to tap into deeper levels of creativity? Is your environment conducive to creativity? Transits like this could help give you a spark of inspiration! Look for opportunities to update the creative areas of your home or office. Go shopping for some supplies that excite your inner artist. Visit a museum or take in a concert, maybe ones you wouldn’t normally go to. Try a new route to work. You might notice something interesting. . . .and inspiring. . . !
This transit happens about twice a year for most years. But in odd cycles, I’m still calculating, I noticed a weird cycle of 34 day a year Venus Square Uranus transits every 10 years. What “crashes” happen in approximate 10 year cycles? I can think of a few. . .
